Winter vacation

Due to the job loss and all, we didn't get the chance to go on our own little family vacation this year. So when we were given a few days between jobs we decided we should go somewhere. Well, we haven't received a pay check yet from the new job, and lets face it we have some rebuilding to do, oh yeah, and we are having to buy a new car -- since over the holidays ours was in a bit of a fender bender and apparently totaled-- nice. But that's another story. So, When we discovered that Brian's grandpas cabin was available we loaded up the kiddos and headed to the hills. Because frankly the snow in our yard was entertaining but far from being... deep...

Bri and Mav playing in our yard before we left At the cabin we watched some great movies, ate some good food, relaxed, and built a sweet lego helicopter...
We cuddled lots too And sledded
and cuddled
And watched perfect little snowflakes land on a perfectly cute little bundled Rhett head ;)

It was sunny, but snowing. Oh yeah and only about 7 degrees. FREEZING!
Daddy and Maverick built a snow cave. Hopefully it was warmer in there...
And Mav sledded and sledded some more.
It was a wonderful getaway!!!
OH!
and cute Rhett is officially 3 months old!
Isn't he cute? And he really is such a sweetie!
He laughed for the first time this week. It was adorable. He just started giggling at Maverick.
So fun to hear that sweet little happy sound.
